Default Lester Russon Painting

Does anyone have any information on Lester Russon. I have an impressionist painting in reds of a ballet dancer -- I have seen other postings regarding this artist and his work but no one seems to give much information about the artist and I have been unable to find many photos of his art.

Thanks,
Susan

Red face Lester Russon

Lester was a friend our mine many years ago and haven't seen him since 1979. He painted a portrait of my husband in blues and blacks and was wondering where I can get this appraised. We also have two record albums that he made with his artwork on the cover

Default lester russon

I collect Vinyl records and I also have 2 records on which a Lester Russon is the pianist. One title is "F"or the ballet. If this is the same person he is also listed in the Corp de Ballet in a 1945 production for which I cannot remember the name. I cannot find anything about him anywhere. the record label is Leffler records out of New York. It is amazing how some multi talented people just disappear

If you find anything please let me know I am on facebook Steve schioldager los angeles

Default Lester Russon

In 1968, I purchased one of his paintings titled "Caprice" and still have it. As a college professor, I used it in class to encourage students to look closely at all art forms since there is always much to behold beyond a mere cursory glance. The painting was appraised in 1998 at $5,000. Will soon post a picture.

Lester Russon was a ballet dancer who damaged his Achilles tendon which prevented further dancing taking up painting in its stead. Many of his nudes present the subject in a somewhat typical ballet pose thus joining the two art forms.

Default To know the value of this art today

I Am Pal Tamas And I Have In My Possession One Of Mr. Lester Russon Painting. The Painting Is Now With Me At My Home In Guadalajara, Mexico. I Purchased About 35 Years Ago From Mr. Russon I Payd 4,700 Usd For It At That Time. The Painting About 37 Inches X By 61 Inches. The Painting Appears To Be An Acrylic Of A Nude Female In Dencing Pozicion Surrounded By Bright Abstract Colors Of Yellows, Blues, Greens And Read. The Nude Is Clearly Evident In The Center Of The Painting. I Like To Know The Value Of This Art.
