Remsen?
I have this painting that has the name Remsen(at least that's what it looks like)at the bottom.. I have looked into the name a bit and the only thing I could find was an Ira Remsen?? I'm not sure what the signature looks like for her paintings so it's hard for me to say. Not really sure about the age either? Any idea information is appreciated :-)

Remsen Painting
I have a similar painting to yours. It is a landscape with the same colors as yours, only there is a road going through the middle of the painting. I have the exact same name on mine as well. I also have a painting signed remsen (A winter scene). I did a little research but also came up with Ira "Rem" Remsen. Any information would be helpful..

I have the same painting. I think the best way to find out more about it is to get an art appraiser.

I Have A Similar Remsen Painting
I also have a similar painting with the exact same signature. Mine appears to be a fall (ish) painting with a road through the middle.

Remsen Paintings
My maternal granfather was C. Remsen. He was a talented painter in both oil and watercolor. Through a sad series of events many of his later works were lost. Although they probably have little value, the sentimental value is immense. I would be interested in seeing pics, getting more information and possibly purchasing.

Oil on canvas by Remsen
I have a beautiful painting of winter landscape which seems to be painted by the same painter as shown by godwingn87 above. It is really beautiful painting. The signature is the same as godwingn87 shown. Few years ago I believe I exchanged words with Darcy (she wrote a comment above) that we like the paintings but cannot find too much about the artist and age of his paintings. Remsen
I just purchased a painting by Remsen of a fall scene. I bought it in Viroqua, WI, and
don't know if it is the same artist. Lovely, painstakingly crafted trees, so-so painted stream and rich, copper brown tones. I really like it, but am curious about the artist. When I can, I will post pictures for reference. Any info or insight in the interim would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Remsen - Road painting
Hello All,
I have owned my Remsen painting for approximately 8-9 years. Even though it is damaged, I prize it. I would love to know more about the painter. See attached photo of the painting. Please share information. |
