Default Help to identify a Painting: Dog next to Dead Knight, Funeral, Man's Best Friend

This painting was featuring during the opening credits of "Man's Best Friend"(1993)

Sorry about the quality. I've been looking for the origin of this for some time. When I wrote the production company years ago I got no reply.

The closest work I could find was Sir Edwin Henry Landseer's "The Faithful Hound" c.1830.

Any help in identifying this work would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

It's Resquiat by Briton Riviére. For information and a link to a better photo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Briton_Rivière
