Unregistered

The following two paintings were found in my ancestors farmstead attic in Northern England. The age can not be verified by any of my remaining relatives.
Please note: We had them framed, so please ignore the frames. They were found unframed.
It looks to me as though the signature is Culvig, Colvig, McColvig. Very difficult to verify.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
