I purchased these two paintings at an estate liquidation. The male portrait is a James Northcote. The female figure I do not know who painted. Joshua Reynolds painted the Spencer family members but so did others. The frame has the name Spencer crudely carved in the rear and a faint old pencil marking which I believe to read Henrietta F. Spencer. The paintings are perion correct and was said to have been passed through the family. I have no other information at this time.

Could be. It looks passably like other pictures of her and her sister. I believe this is her sister:
