Hello all,
Attached is a picture that I don't know the artist nor the type of paint used. It has a metallic sheen to it and kinda changes gloss level depending on how you hold it. It has a signature at the bottom right with a first name appearing to begin with the letter G and the last name starts with a V or W. Also, I'm not sure what the significance of the anchor symbol in the picture is. This was given to my grandparents in 1958. Any help in identifying the artist and/or the type of paint used would be appreciated. Thank you. Mike |

This is 'The Anchor Inn'. Found one copy here - http://home.comcast.net/~lamarz.com/page18/ These are foil prints...I have a few of these on copper plates under glass. I believe that they were made by F.J. Warren Ltd. in England during the fifties. No signatures on mine other than the titles.
