Unregistered

Hi. I'm hoping somebody here can help me. I spent my childhood years being told stories about a painting that always hung on my grandmothers wall. It was always promised to me on her passing but unfortunatley it never came my way and I have spent the last 17+years trying to find a copy.
It is of a little girl in a ragged dress with a large floppy straw hat on. She is crying with one hand rubbing at her eyes. Beside her there is a forlorn looking dog looking up at her.
I remember the painting as being pinkish/orange toned if that helps.
Unfortunatley I do not know the artist, title or year, although one family member thinks it *may* be called 'tears' but she is not certain.
Any information, no matter how small will be very much appreciated.
