In one of my old literature books there was a picture of a painting that I haven't been able to get out of my head for about 15 years now. It had an older lady sitting in a chair, possibly a rocking chair, looking at the back of a younger man standing in either a doorway or a window. The painting looked like it was from the turn of the century, possibly victorian. I absolutely loved it and still think about it to this day. If you know who the artist is or the name of the pic could you please help?
I can't find it anywhere on the net.
