Default The sea, the sky, & a sailboat called FAITH

Reposting this from a previous thread I was forced to close due to excessive spam... JM

In Spring 2001 I was walking with a friend through shops in Kerrville, TX and saw an absolutely beautiful painting that I have never, ever forgotten. Unfortunately, being a poor college student, I couldn't afford the $800 price tag, so I jotted down the author - and have since lost that paper. It was a sofa-sized original about 4'x2.5' (or at least a reproduction) that had 3-D paint strokes (which is how I know it wasn't laser printed). The painting was of the sea, with slightly choppy blue-gray waves. The sky was also gray-blue as if a storm was coming or had just passed. At the bottom right, maybe 7" tall, was a small sailboat, unmanned, with the word "FAITH" on the transom riding in the waves. I have scoured the internet images galleries and poster websites to no avail. Does anyone recognize the painting or perhaps have an idea of who the artist might be?
