Need help identifying an artist.

I think the signature says "Karpathy", in which case the artist could be the Hungarian painter Jenos Karpathy (1871-1950). Also known as Eugene Karpathy. I also came across a record of a Laszlo Karpathy, but wasn't able to find any information or examples of his work.
