![]() ![]() Hi. I'm new to this forum. Found it when my own research hit a wall. Can someone help me to identify the Rivas who painted this rather unusual, highly textured/ gessoed painting that I own and love ? (I know, I know, it's a very common name but I'm hoping maybe a Latin American/ Mexican art expert is out there somewhere.) My piece is a somewhat surreal/ somewhat cubist nude with what appear to be nails instead of nipples, a spider web over one breast and a red pelvis. I've been told that it appears to be Mexican from the 60s or 70s. Any assistance identifying the artist would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Moia |
