Help to identify painting (possible rothko)

I was watching a tv show and saw this painting in the background. It looks like a Rothko to me, but I haven't been able to find the painting online. Can anyone identify the artist for me (it's possible that it was a rothko knockoff that some design assistant whipped up for the episode)? Thanks,

Does the lack of responses mean that no one has encountered this painting before?
