need some oil painting help here please

Found in grandparents basement ( NOT LOOKING TO SELL ) just trying to figure out around what time it was made ? I tried listing this awhile ago and it's not showing up so if it shows up twice I'm sorry . here are some pics it seems to be tacked around the outside of the frame and the frame seems to lock in to it's self .

Greetings,

Based on the style of the hair (and make-up), I would place the painting around the late 1940's. It is hard to tell by the clothing as not much of her dress is shown.

Does that sound like it could be right? What are the ages of your grandparents?

my grandparents are in there 80s but they have no clue who this is or when they picked it up ? they use to own Blake gallery's here in Cincinnati so god only know where it came from. thanks
