Years ago I saw two prints in what I presume were a series, but I have no information on the titles or artist, and I'm dying to own a copy. Here is what they were: one was a simple picture (a photograph?) of a colorless apple, as though it were a blank canvas and next to it, a tube of red acrylic paint. The other was similar, but a carrot with orange paint. I believe there was also a paintbrush with the chosen color on the tip. That's pretty much the gist. I don't know why they spoke to me so, but they did. I've tried in vain to find information on them, but no luck. Anyone have a guess? Thanks.

Greetings,
You are right. I doubt any one here can help you locate these two works. Do you own a digital camera? Have access to photo editing software? Or know someone who does? I think these two works would be very easy to re-create. Yes - it is "copyright infringement" in a way (copying another artist's idea - although "ideas" can not be copyrighted) - but it sounds like this would be for your own personal use. Do something to make the idea your own. Get creative. See what you can come up with. I doubt the original artist will ever track you down (smile). Regards, Judy Decker |
