Default trying to identify a painting i once saw

hi,
i would like to know the artist / name of painting i will describe below.
the painting is of a woman/queen/princess who is escaping from or exacting revenge on pursuing men/man/king/prince. she is sitting/ crouching in a cave/small room holding one/two babies/small children and appears about to take the life of said children/child with a dagger/knife poised to murder.
one of the victims seems to be aware of fate and may be trying to wriggle free but is being restrained by murderess. the overall picture is stunning and i would very much like to see it again but i cannot recall details of painter.
