Help with artist
My late Uncle picked this painting up during the Italian campaign in WWII. it is a very light oil on board, the brush strokes are very fine and the jpg might not show it but the detail is down to the individual hairs in the eyebrows, beard & stitching in the clothing. The signature at the top of the work has so far defied my untrained old eyes. I would appreciate any leads or ideas.
