Default Currier & Ives?

I have an old print that looks like a Currier & Ives. At least my old art teacher thought so. The title in fine print says ' Winter Moonlight in Colorado' with a number 1343. In even finer print it says 'Copyright by Jos? Joe? Job? Overage? Beverage?' This was hanging in my Grandmother's house for ages. Any info?

I came across a Currier and Ives Online Gallery. Maybe that will help.

Otto: Did you find out anything about the print? I have the same one that was my grandmothers and my mother just gave it to me. I'm curious to what exactly this print is...

Default Winter Moonlight in Colorado

I haven't been on-line here in over a year (and now this site shows me as unregistered), but, no, I have not found any info on that picture (even though I keep looking occasionally). Looking with a magnifying glass at the edges I see very small letters, hard to make out (Copyright by Jos? Joe? Job? Overage? Beverage?), and behind the title Winter Moonlight in Colorado are the numbers 1343. Not much to go on I'm afraid. ~~ OTTO

This print wasn't by Currier and Ives but made by order of Wilson Chemical Co (not the one in NJ but the WCCo that ended in 1985 in Tyrone PA). It is listed and reproduced twice (the same under two titles but reversed) in this site of the Tyrone Historical Society. Follow the link "alphabetical index".

They are quoted under numbers 96 and 168
