I picked up the most beautiful oil painting at a thrift shop for an insanely cheap price. I just can't figure out if the artist is of any noteriety.
The painting is signed on the front J. Hattum, and on the back J. Hattum is written and so is the phrase "n. 1674". It depicts on ocean scene with rocks and a setting sun with overcast clouds. I think it is a Dutch oil painting and Im 90 percent sure it is the original. Its probably like 2-3 ft. by 4-5 ft. I could put a picture up if needed. Any help? |

Looking for the same artist. Picked up a J. Hattum painting in Philomath, OR at an estate sale. Did you find anything about the artist? I don't know much myself.

Found nothing yet. Only thing I know is it isn't Jo Koster Van Hattum. My guess is that he/she was from Hattum in Holland. |
