Need to find a fisherman and little girl painting!!!
I'm trying to find a painting my mom used to have. It was of a fisherman and a little girl in a rowboat. It was stormy. That's all I can remember. Anybody recognize it? Thanks!

I believe you could be describing Emile Renouf's "The Helping Hand"

I have that picture by Emil Renough but it is the one when the sailor and little girl are just about to go out into the ocean. I remember seeing another one where they have been out on the ocean and it was aparently rough as the little girls expression is stressed. I am looking for that one (their return trip). Saw it in a resturant in Maine years ago (like 22y). I would love to have the set.

I have it
My grandparents had it above their couch since I was a young boy. A great painting. I luckily inherited it a few years back. I'll check the artist name on it when I get home.

The painting is called The Helping Hand by Emile Renouf - it also hangs in our family home. I used to think it was the only one, but now I realize it's probably a very nice reprint in a frame.
