Hello!
I am a new member. I wonder if anyone knows who the artist 'E.M' might be? I believe that judging from the frame s/he was active in the late Victorian period. The two pictures I have depict wood scenes. I would be grateful for help. Many thanks |

Here's a list of prominent painters from approximately that time period, taken from Artcyclopedia.com...
MacRae, Elmer Livingston [American, 1875-1955] Macrae, Emma Fordyce [Austrian/American, 1887-1974] Major, Ernest Lee [American, 1864-1950] Manet, Edouard [French, 1832-1883] Maxence, Edgar [French, 1871-1954] Moran, Edward [English/American, 1829-1901] Mount, Evelina [American, 1837-1920] Munch, Edvard [Norwegian, 1863-1944] Munier, Emile [French, 1810-1895] There are sites with more exhaustive lists, but I'm sure you'd find dozens and dozens of artists with the initials E.M. For example, findartinfo.com and askart.com. |
