Question a. guerpair or a. guerpain oil paintings

Hi, I am trying to find out any information on this artist, I have two of his/her paintings that measure about 20x24 ish. They are oil paintings and appear to be part of the big eyed children craze that swept America in the 60s. So any information about this would be helpful...I have tried looking all over the internet and am coming up blank Please help

Default Guerpair

wow.

I can't find anything about the artist either. The painting my mom has is of a girl with an orange and a basket. Over the years, she herself has aged white streaks in her hair, wrinkes. She looks angry and sad at the same time. It's like someone is trapped in the portrait or something.

Default Also looking for Guerpain

Hi,
Great to find your query. I also have a painting from approximately late forties or early fifties of a child about 18 inch wide x 30 inch high. The signature clearly reads as GeurPain but I'm not sure of the first name initial; it might be A or I.

Default A. Guerpain

I have a Guerpain of two children - a boy and a girl (she's holding a basket) standing next to the boy who has his hand in his pocket. My mother purchased these sometime in the late 1960's - early 70's on Long Island, NY.
