A landscape as seen from a large veranda with a black/white striped awning
I am positive this was NOT a work by an obscure artist. I believe the artist was one of the impressionists (or close to that period) and the scene was from either Spain or South America. I even thought it was a Matisse but I've not had any luck finding in any Matisse books. It could possibly be an early Picasso. There's a slight chance that it may be a lithograph. I believe it was in color but am not even certain about that. It had the name of the area in the title...and it seems to me it was something like Rio de Janero, Brazil, something like that. The veranda looks out on a lush countryside landscape that may include mountains. The striped awning was the most memorable part of the painting/drawing. Would appreciate any help with this at all.
