I am trying to find a pencil drawing by Rapheal that was titled 'Study of a Female Head' 1509-1511.
The print I saw was in a poster form and was purchased at an art exhibit in Memphis, Tn. which featured The Master's of Florence art work. Supposedly Rapheal used one of Da vinci's portraits as a model for his work. ( I'm sure you can tell that I am not schooled in the arts but I saw this poster and fell in love with it.) If anyone can help me locate this particular drawing I would be very thankful. Regards. Terry |

The only drawing that seems (to me) be in connection with the dates and description you give is the study for the head of the Aldobrandini madonna whith the head of the Child. The painting is in the National Gallery (London) and the drawing in the British Museum
You can see it with the link below but as a new member I don't know if it 'll work. http://www.mondomostre.it/images/raf...di%20teste.jpg |

Finally figured out how to read your answer. Thank you for your trouble. The picture you showed is, unfortunately, not the one I was looking for.
