I recently acquired two small watercolours landscapes which I am trying to get information about. One is signed W. Morris. I have seen a gallery on line selling a painting by a W. Morris and the signature appears to be the same. Unfortunately, the seller doesn't seem to know anything about the artist. He presumes that it is from the late 1800's and by a Scottish man. Does anyone have any knowledge of W. Morris?
The other signature looks like RSK 1915. The painting came from a German man. I have been able to find information on the web that indicates that around 1915 all art in Germany had to be done through an art association that is abbreviated to RSK. Does anyone know anything about this association or the initials RSK? Jhellen |

I found two charcoal drawings by a single artist, one of Winston Churchill, and the other a take-off of Van Gogh's Old Man in Sorrow, which is better than the original. Can't read the signature!!!
Signatures for silver can be found online.... Can signatures for other artists be found anywhere?? Thanks!!! |
