Arrow Help with painting by "I.R Faberi"

I have a painting approx 4ft by 3 ft called "Sunset on the Mediterranean" and it an original oil painting #6478. Apparently the Style is "Golden Fortress?" On a small plate on the base of the frame in the middle it says "I.R Faberi" who was apparently born in 1899 in Nepi (somewhere in Rome?) Most of this info was written on a small white card on the back of the painting which also describes that the artist won a silver medal of some kind in 1958 at the Villa Corsini and that the artist was "known for his studies of the sea, painting the turbulence of the water or painting peaceful and serene scenes." The painting itself is of a house on a cliff, mountains behind it, ocean below with turbulent water and clouds in the sky. I have so much info here and yet I can find no information whatsoever on the internet or any search engine. Perhaps I am just looking in the wrong place. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I too have an I R Faberi painting and know nothing about him so am grateful for the info. you posted. I have had no success, short of finding your post. Do you have any idea of the value range of his work? I paid $195 at an antique mall. My painting is more like 2'x4' and is of the end of the day for some fishing boats (maybe it's the dawn - hard to tell which).
Anything you can find I'd be grateful to know about.
Thanks

Default I.R.Faberi ocean seine

We have a I.R. Faberi painting also , it’s a ocean seine also at sunrise or sunset with the waves breaking over a large rock. The painting is 2 by 3 feet and belonged to my wife’s mother and father who had it for about 40 years, they said it was part of a Vincent Price collection. The date on the back of the frame is 10/26/62

Default I. R. Faberi

I, too, have a beautiful painting by I. R. Faberi. My parents purchased the painting (they said) at Sears in the sixties. Any idea who the artist is? The artist is technically adept and hardly a rank amateur. I'd like to find out more about the artist. Any clues?

Default I R Faberi

I just bought my Faberi painting at a live auction. It is four ft wide by two ft. Along with it came a plane (unlined) 4 by 6 index card with the following typed:

Faberi

Was born in Nepi, an ancient Extruscan city in Rome in 1899. He has exhibited in many important exhibitions and has received a silver medal at Villa Corsini in 1958. He has various critical reviews in France, Switzerland, Milan, and Florence, and is very well known. His specialty is studies of the sea and his technique embodies all the turbulance of the water in storm as well as its peaceful serenity during calm.

I hope this is helpful for everyone.

Question IR Faberi Painting

I also inherited a large painting of a seascape with the small card on the back. It's in a very decorative gold frame. Sitting in a closet - too gaudy to display, but I couldn't discard it. I could not find any info on the artist. Had to be in his sixty's in 1965 - so should have been well-established. Any further info would be appreciated.

Default Faberi - #6479 Original Oil Painting

I found one of these paintings at a garage sale. I bargained $18.00 for it so I figure it's a lucky find! Now if I only knew more about it. It has a sticker on the back on the frame that says:

ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS #6479
STYLE: BEACH AT CAPRI
ARTIST: FABERI

Description: Scenery of waves cresting toward a rocky shore (maybe being pulled back toward the ocean) to the right side of the painting. There's a villa atop a small cliff near the shore. It appears to be a little cloudy, with the sunset partially coming through the clouds. In the background there looks to be a small mountain region, as well as a few sailboats on the horizon. There are trees above the rocky shoreline to the right side of the painting. The left side is composed of scenery of the ocean / sky. the painting is encased with a wooden frame with a gold trim. The artist signed it in the lower left side - I. R. Faberi. I do not see any kind of date anywhere on the painting or frame.

There was an envelope attached to the back side next to the sticker where possibly a small card was stored, but the card was not inside. There was also what looks like a price (maybe the price it originally sold at an auction/store?) of 99.00 handwritten in pencil on the back of the frame. There is a small metal plate on the inner frame that reads "FABERI".

It's in very good condition, and it does appear to be an original oil painting (instead of some sort of copy or duplicate).

If anyone knows anything about the artist or the painting (aside from what's already written on these forums), please let me know. I can't find anything online!

Thank You!
