I also have an oil painting signed Pablo Espana. It is a village street seen with people walking with horses. I have not been able to find anything about the artist. I did see one on "liveauctioneers" with a starting bid of $100 but it seemed no one knew the artist. Hope we find something someday.

I have an original oil by Pablo Espana looks like it is from some time in the 1950s.... It had the following Bio Post on the back of the Painting:
"This promising young artist was born in Vigo, Spain in 1923. His father was also an artist who encouraged his son to follow in his footsteps. This young man studied at St. Ferdinand's Academy in Madrid. Later he finished his painting studies at the Turin Academy of Arts. He has taken part in many art exhibitions. In 1950, he went to Paris and had a one-man successful show. His specialty is painting street scenes in high pastel colors." |

Hahahaaa, we must be all talking about same picture, great reproduction.
Although I was taken for a ride by local auctioneer and spent $100 for it I really like the painting and the frame itself is worth that money Here are few snapshots I took just now. ![]() |

I also have an original oil painting by Pablo Espana. I've been all over the web looking for information, but cannot find anything more that what you've already got here. Anyone have additional info on this artist? My painting is in the same style as the one on "live auctions," but with a different street scene and a clear signature. There was also one posted for sale on craigslist out of Philadelphia. Again, same style, but different painting. I do think this person was real, and the painting is real, but who, how, and where did is come from?

I just picked up a Pablo Espana this weekend from an In Law it was hanging on her grandmothers wall. Her grandmother said that Pablo painted it for her personally in Old Town San Diego years ago in a studio. It is large and has a mexican village scene on it with old style clay houses, indian pottery and people wandering about. No other info for now....sorry.
