Hello Folks,
I am trying to identify a painting that I saw in 1986 in an art gallery in California. I don't know whether the painting lived there or was just visiting like me! It was a painting so perfectly rendered that it could almost pass as a photograph (i.e. about as far from abstract as you can get). I remember dark grey girders which looked like part of a bridge, with lots of rivets and a man or men infront. I'm sorry I can't recall any more details but would be very grateful for any suggestions as I will know the painting the instant I see it again.
