I came across a very large painting (approx 4ftx3) on canvas that was stored since the late seventies when it was up for auction (Start price $600.00) in a small town called Rockdale, Texas, and I picked it up. The name of the painting (on auction card) is "Green Moon Orange Sun" by Leila McConnell. It is original since the person I got it from remembers it when it was up for sale in mid-texas and it was from a Texas Artist. Does anyone know anything about this? I really like it and it is rather large. Not framed but is oil on canvas. Looks like a scenery of a green moon and then bottom is orange sky and its from the 1970's. Can anyone help?

The painting you have sounds like it must be one of mine,
since I did a lot of paintings in the 70's and 80's that had moons in them. Would it be possible to send an image, I would be very pleased to have it. If you want any further information, I would try to supply it. Best wishes, Leila McConnell gads70@hotmail.com |
