I saw this painting in a hotel so it was just a copy. It was a painting of seven trees and their shadows. I don't know what kind of trees but they were all the same: very thin trunks, round at the top. The tree on the right was further away. Also, several inches on the left and right of the painting were darker than the rest. I'm not sure what that's called. It looked kind of like a desert landscape. There were small mountains in the background. It's either sunset or sunrise, I dunno. The whole painting was very orangey. Not very much detail, I know. But does anyone know title or artist?

I went to madrid recently on a trip and went in to el museo de la reina sofia and I really loved a painting but failed to pick up the name of the artist or the piece, so i thought you might be able to help me if i provide a description. The theme of the picture seems to be eyes and colourblindness. There is a woman taking an eye exam and look at an eye chart, on the wall is a prism which is refracting rays of light traveling through a window, there is a pinhole camera on the floor which projects a face on to a screen, there is a colour chart at the bottom. The paining was seen on the ground floor of el museo de la reina sofia. I would really appreciate someone's help

Hello
I am looking for a seascape at night painting. It's set in a storm and you can see a lantern from a small-ish boat, the rest of the painting is very dark. Does anyone know what it is??? |
