Hi;
Does anyone know of another artist by the name of W.L. Palmer besides Walter Launt Palmer? This painting measures 8" x 9.5" on some type of canvas board. The sticker on the back dates it at 1875. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Slainte! Eirene |

Hmmm...no idea? The photo's don't do this justice. I really do love this little painting, it has been sitting on my desk straight in front of me below my monitor for a few years now. It changes with the lighting. In candle light you can see the detail, the weather,the mountains jump out at you, the snow almost illuminates.
In the daylight you see the colours in the sky, the pink tinge, like looking at a storm brewing. It looks as though it is dirty, however, I think it is made to look so, to give the storm effect. |

Hello Eirene
You know this song : "I'll buy you a Cadillac.. I'll buy you a Chevrolet.." Hope someone will sing for you "I'll buy you a Canon, I'll buy you a Nikon.. |

Been on holidays have you? Missed your humour. I would love to own a Cannon or a Nikon, however, I am stuck with this lowly Sony Ciber-shot for now. This is a very old thread. I see that I had not turned off the flash when taking these photo's. So here are some without the flash. Are these more to your liking? Yul Yost, why do you need me to contact you and how? |

I am afraid I have nothing to add to the answer you obtained on another site last year.

"You did not answer... are these more to your liking? "
Not really because the problem was more the sharpness than the size. I hope that your souvenirs of the Bahamas are more precise |

Well..thanks for the interest and the offer... I have been informed that this is NOT....repeat NOT...a painting by Walter Launt Palmer. It is dated 1875 on the old sticker on the back. It has been coated in a dark varnish of some sort to make it look dark...stormy ...however...around the edges under the frame the colours are bright. Sorry..not for sale..love this little painting.
