...and more importantly, what is the name of the paining as well, if anyone knows...thanks in advance. I'd posted this before, but I was trying to figure out how to put a copy of the painting with the message and I couldn't - so I found a link with it. I hope I got it right. Thanks for your help!

Hello
This painting (if it is a painting) is in relation with an ensemble of french scenic wallpaper of the early 19th century You will find all the informations on this work with these three links : http://www.auction.fr/UK/sale_painti... _peint_.html Use the "translate" button upper right of the main text http://mad.lesartsdecoratifs.fr/ow2/...u%20id%C3%A9al Yours is the seventh scrolling down, with possibility of good magnifying http://www.1stdibs.com/furniture_ite....php?id=234041 With a mistake in the title : The man is not Cupid but just a fisherman Your boss may have one of the painting made after the original artist in order to put the subject in the right dimensions, or a copy after the wallpaper, or one of the sheets of wallpaper...? One more interesting link about wallpapers http://www.historicwallpapering.com/links.htm Last edited by saintmarc : August 25th, 2009 at 01:06 PM. |
