This is an interesting painting of a european city in 18th century, and it is raining. in Black and white and signed L George.

Maybe Louis Henri Georgé or George, born in Sisteron (France), pupil of Fantin-Latour and Couture, exhibited in Paris salon from 1848 to 1853 (Bénézit-Dictionnaire des peintres)

Evidently it is not the George I quoted above. By typing "Paris street scene" in Google image search, you will see dozens of these paintings with almost all the same style and different names. Alas ! Commercial modern products only. For most of them, the painter even not exist.
