I have a unique painting and I can't seem to find any information on it, I've only ever seen one other painting by this person (going my signature mark only)
its P.MAS Anyone? I also have a nice painting by Robert Cox. I'm attaching both pics. Is there a place to find the value of a Robert Cox? Thanks to all who read or can help me locate information. Alisa |

The P.Mas is Pierre MAS, french, born 1933 :

Hi,
There is also an American painter Robert Cox that painted a lot of florals. http://artq.co.uk/Robert%20Cox/Robert%20Cox.html Curses on all those Chinese knockoffs!!! Regards, Eirene |

That is funny : When you type on Google exactly (advanced search, then search exact words) the words appearing on the page given by Eirene
"Katharine Gibbs School of Art" "Mayhew Peakes Inc" "Brown Hammerson Medal of Honour " You get a bunch of results all concerning....Robert Cox! Moreover, neither Findagrave.com nor Ancestry come have a Robert Cox with the dates offered on this page. Well! |

A BIG THANKS! for the information on Pierre MAS
I've found information about a Robert Cox that did paint florals. Signature looks the same as the others listed on his website. Hummm. |

I seen that site your talking about its only information I found on a Robert Cox. and I'm guessing when the second picture mentioned P.MAS is just a knock off too. Certainly happy I didn't pay for these, they were given to me years ago. Now I'm redecorating and just don't have a place for them anymore. Thanks all

Very odd indeed. When searching for artq.co.uk I arrive here http://artq.co.uk/ They have artwork ranging in price from £250.00 - £30,000.00. There is not much information about this gallery at the site, also no physical address. Note the spelling of gallery - gallerie. You would think that if it was a real museum it would have Buckinghamshire in the email address at least.

I saw the thread about the painting signed Robert Cox. How did you decide whether it was a Chinese "knock off" or a real Robert Cox. He painted hundreds of floral pictures until his death on Aug 2001.
