I found this painting in the attic of my home in New Zealand.
A woman in a burgandy dress and white shawl with a gentleman in a short black cape and brown trousers standing at the end of a corridor. Does anyone know about this painting. It is 3ft high and 2ft wide. In perfect condition. History or value ? |

Hi Gillian:
All the info that I could find on this painting is that it was auctioned in the UK on November 4,1992. The Corridor (1924-1925) Painting, Oil/canvas (87.5x54 cm) Is this an actual painting or a print? Regards, Eirene Last edited by Eirene : September 1st, 2009 at 01:30 AM. |

BTW, Eirene probably got this information from Artprice. If you want to research that painting further, you can get a 1-day subscription for the equivalent of about $20 US. That'll get you further information such as the auction house, the estimate, the actual price it sold for, and maybe an image scanned in from the auction catalog.
Note that the correct spelling of the artist's name is "Leonard Campbell Taylor". |

Actually in this case you can get the information here free http://artsalesindex.artinfo.com/art...i/lots/9344366
There are a lot of lithographs of it around. Is your picture on canvas ? |
