Trying to find the artist of the following canvas painting. The picture is by a J. Caldwell; I've done a search on that name and found a handful of J. Caldwell's - including a John, James, Jim, Jennie and Jack - but I've either been unable to find anything to compare to my painting or I've found no matches (including a signiture and/or style). Can anyone help or point me in a direction that I may not have noticed during my searches?
Painting: http://i679.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/100_2623.jpg Signiture: http://i679.photobucket.com/albums/v...a/100_2624.jpg Thanks ahead of time, -Anika |

It could be a one of a kind. You can find similar paintings on e-bay all with different signatures.

Eirene,
Thank you for your reply. I have a question in response if you don't mind. It may seem naive of me, but is a one of a kind painting a good thing or a bad thing to have? I'm just starting to delve into the world of art, so I have no idea if what I purchased - for $8 mind you - is a good investment or not. Thanks in advanced, -Anika |
