mystery painting??

we have this painting and don't really know much about it.
if anyone could help us with title, artist, era...
anything like that.

hehehe..John...a definite mystery.

Pay no heed...I am up very late and have nothing better to do with my time than hassle peoples on the internets.

BTW-The etching you posted looks so familiar, I believe it is from a well known painting.
