Red face Can anyone Idenify this work?`

I recently purchased this oil , It's been laying around in someones basement for several years. The metal that holds the frame work together is dated 1883-1885, June 16th. There is also a tag on the frame for the Wallis Art Shop of Bridgeport Conn at 176 state street. The Oil is of a partially nude woman with long auburn hair. It is signed, but I can't determine the letters. The sig is within the body of the woman, along the length of her arm.I've been trying to load a pic of it on here, but I am not having much luck.

You can use the paperclip icon to "attach" an image, but that has a size limit. (Use the "Post Reply" button, not "Quick Reply").

You can also upload it to a photo hosting site such as Flickr or Photobucket and post a link to it. Be sure to enclose a sharp, well-lit photo of the signature.
