Default Need information on kug tiger painting

I'm looking for any information on this tiger painting. The name in the bottom left corner is kug or maybe hug. It's been in my family for at least 35 years.
thanks

Is it a print. It really seems like an oil on canvas.

Default canvas tiger print by kug

yep...got one too.
purchased it along with lion print way back in 1978 at a military thrift shop in Alabama. Paid $8 for each print.

Default KUG tiger

I have the same one, I don't think it's worth much, but it's such a great painting it would be tough to get rid of. I made my own frame for it and it's a center peice in my parlor.

What do you want to know?
Fritz Rudolf Hug was a Swiss painter, born in 1921 died in 1989.
Your painting probably is a print on canvas and here you can get a feeling, what it is worth:

(The value is what somone is willing to pay for it.)

Default KUG the Tiger

We had this print hanging in the livingroom of our weekend house back in the 1970's. It is a bit of a running gag in my family. The strage thing about this print was that hte eyes seemed to follow you whereever you were in the room. I asked my mom where it came from and she said it was a promotion given out at the dry-cleaners...back in the day.

Fritz Hug did a series of "big cats" in the 1970's. My Lion was destroyed during Hurricane Frances in 2004. I'd love to find another one! If anyone knows where any of the Hug "big cats" series can be found, please post to this thread! Thanks!

Default Big Cats, I have a lithograph by Hug, of a leopard which I found in a thrift store,

I also had a tiger, a pink elephant, and a zebra, by Hug, which I bought at a hardware store in sprinfield Va around 1970. They were destroyed by Hurricane Evelyn (my girlfriend at the time, who became my ex)
