Default Anyone ever heard of Howard F. Guion?

I have a winter scene painted by Howard F. Guion. The card on the back lists Los Angeles, GA 1961.

Anyone ever heard of him?

Default Howard F. Guion

This information can be find on the internet on Howard F. Guion
There was a Howard F. Guion born on 05 may 1873 in New York

And there was Howard F. Guion buried on Rosario Cemetery Santa Fe County, New Mexico. On his stone were the years 1872-1964

This could be the same person as the maker of your painting.

Question

My granfather's name was Howard Guion from Brooklyn NY. He died in the mid 1960s. He married Margret Fontain in Messilla New Mexico in th early 1900s ; had four children. He and his family, after selling his ranch, moved to Los Angeles around 1929 or 1930. Papa was a artist and sold many of his paintings. Hope this info helps you.

Sounds like my great grandfather, Howard Guion, who lived between California and New Mexico. He died in 1964 and loved to draw and paint on anything he could find. We would love to have a copy of the painting.

The artist you are inquiring about is my mother's (Clara Emily Guion) father. My niece Suzanne Yaeger and first cousin Howard Remaly have both written to you.
I would be most interested in purchasing the painting from you if you might be interested.

Thank you,
David Guion Aguirre
