Frank Chilton was born in Texas in the 1890's, and lived most of life in Phoenix. He spent some time in Bellflower, California as well. He loved to paint landscapes on-site, until he was too feable and blind to travel. He Passed away in the 1970's in California.

He was a painter of the deserts in and around Phoenix, Arizona. He was "Desert Artist" of the year in the 1950's and has hundreds of paintings in private collections and galleries around the U.S.

The value of his paintings are between $500-$1000

Smile Frank Chilton

Frank Chilton, brother to Arthur (Older brother) came to Arizona from Chilton Texas shortly after the turn of the century, 1900's and lived in east Phoenix. Frank was never married. I am Jerry Bustin. My mother was Pauline, daughter to Arthur Chilton. Frank Chilton was my great uncle and I remember him. Both brothers were fine painters. I have a paint of Lake Mary, Arizona painted by Arthur, my grandfather. Frank got his reputation from being a Art teacher for a college in Bell, California. However Arthur was better at it as well as my aunt, Arthur's daughter, Maoma (Chilton) Cadwell and the tradition carried on through her children, Dan and Carol Cadwell; now living in Boise, Idaho.
Arthur's paintings are well worth more then Franks. Their paintings are worth in the thousands. Be well lucky if you have one. Frank painted desert landscapes while Arthur did everything, faces, western, desert, and forest views.
