Post Andre DeJong Oil Painting

I am in possession of an Andre DeJong Oil painting that was purchased in the late '70s. His artwork has evolved considerably since I first bought this painting of a cabin in the mountains in very muted tones. Mostly, he is now sculpting and living in one of the Scandanavian Countries which escapes me now. He has had many Art Shows in Europe. Is there any call for his works in the United States. I love this oil painting but I hear nothing about him here. Is anyone aware of him and what his present status is in the art world?
Thank you for your time and attention.

One thing is for sure. Andre de Jong is not the artist from Holland who was born in 1945. His style is totally diffrent than the paintings you have at home.

I Also have a painting of a cabin in the woods by this artist. Any ideas of how old these are and how much they are worth? I have not been able to find any info on this artist.

Thanks.

Default Andre De Jong

I have a 20x24 Andre De Jong that I bought in the early 1980's from a company, Artistic Interiors, through home demonstration. The "oils" were
supposedly done by artists that would hopefully some day become famous.
I ended up selling for this company and I have several of their pictures which are nice but nothing valuable has come out of them. The one I have is autumn colored trees in the background with a rustic looking house and snow covered ground. There is a buggy with one horse hitched to it in the foreground. On the back of it is the Artistic Interior Certificate Number and it is certified to be an "original" oil painting. It sold in it's day framed for around $135 and now most of the "oils" I have - you are hard pressed to get $15 for an 8x10 or 12x16 at a garage sale. Sorry if you paid a lot for your paintings.
