Question Raymond Callebaut

I have been searching for a biography on this painter. I have very little information to go on. What I find on line (the two articles) are of very little help. I know nothing about HIM. I purchased a painting at a thrift store and with the info that was available we now know it is orginal and valued at apprx $750.00. I paid 5 bucks for it! So I am excited. Just want more info on the artist himself.
Thank you

Please post the links to the two articles so we don't duplicate what you already found.

Default Raymond Callebaut

I also have a very pretty floral painting done by Raymond Callebaut. it is an original, signed, numbered and in good condition. How would I find out its value? Any suggestions?

Smile raymond callebaut

i also have a couple of paintings of Raymond Callebaut purchased in Toronto in early eighties, i belive. He was born in 1932 in Antwerp, Belgium. Mr. Callebout studied for 7 years at The Royal Academy of Fine Art in Mechelen, Belgium each year winning 1st price. the next 5 years he spent at The National Institute of Fine Art in Antwerp under the directorship of the world renowned painter Baro Isodor Opsomer and Professor Miss Zarina originally from Riga. The city of Antwerp gave him grant to further his studies in Italy, and after returning home The Round Table of Belgium supported him for a full year studying various famous art centres throught France. Since then Mr. Callebaut has travelled extensively in Europe and North America, spending considerable time painting and exhibiting in Spain, Portugal, Morocco and USA before finally setting in Toronto, Canada. His stron feelings for the Canadian outdoors is beautifully portrayed in each individual work.
