Dear all,
I wonder if you can help me. My future Mother-in-law went to Madrid's La SOfia wedding and saw a painting she loved, but only has this description of it: Houses, which in her mind represented various countries. Does anyone know the painting or artist? Your help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. |

If you mean the Queen Sofia Museum in Madrid, you can browse the works of Guillermo Perez Villalta
http://pintura.aut.org/BU04?Autnum=13.285&EmpNum=15530 Or type "Joaquin Torres Garcia" with Google images. |

Yes, I was referring to the Reina Sofia. I have tried looking through the images on the website, but have been unable to work out the piece and the name of the artist.
She said there was a number of different houses in the painting, which she thought were representing different nationalities, e.g dutch, english etc. Not much to go on I know! Any other ideas? She went there in September, not sure if it was a permanent or temporary exhibit but she couldn't find a print of it in the museum shop. Thanks! |

Could it possibly be a copy 'The Global Village'? It was a world wide project, painted by twenty artists. The original was sold at auction.
