Looking for the correct term - thought it was chiaroscuro
I am looking for the correct term. I thought it was chiaroscuro but after looking it up on wikipedia, I don't think that it is.
What I am looking for - when one looks at a painting and there are parts or sections of the painting that could stand alone and be paintings in and of themselves. There is a term for that. Does anyone know? |
