Has anyone ever heard of an artist named LaVonine Propat or something similar? Propst? It's a bit difficult to read the signature. We received a painting from a relative and I was trying to learn more about it. The painting appears to be an oil. It is about 24X32, a closeup of a sailboat. Can't say how old it might be but the boat appears to be fairly modern, 1920's at the oldest. If I had to judge from the rather ornate frame alone, I would venture the painting is from the 1950's - 1970's. Of course, I am just guessing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
