The poster was looking for "Mother & Son", which I assume is not the painting you own. Maybe if you posted some details and/or uploaded a picture (you have to be logged in to do this) then someone might be interested.

I inhereited a print of this picture given to my eldest Brother by my Grandmother in the 50s A boyfriend of the time was going to reframe it for me, but I never got it back. I understand it to be in the Walsall area, his Mother had it and it may have passed on to her husband Keith. The reason I wish to find that print is that it had a very old family wedding photo on the back. Any help locating it is very much appreciated.

well i have got a print of it and the ponies look native, like highland ponies or welsh ponies. a connemara could also be a possibility. look the breeds up on google. another thing is that at the bottom of the painting it says R.A, which stands for Royal Academy, so the original could have been painted there. i have no idea where the prints are made. hope this helps |

My daughter has recently bought a signed and framed picture of the above. It looks very old. Can anybody tell me whether it has any value, or how to find out, please?
