Hello,
A few days ago, I watched the movie match point, which i can only recommend, and saw a painting in it. The painting is located somewhere inside Tate Modern in London but there is no additional information. I have tried googling the movie and even deciphred the text written on the wall next to the painting. It sais something about a "Jan Spoczynski" about whom i cannot fin a thing. Maybe he is the painter but i doubt it. Here is a link to the image http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/9761/neubitmapmt.png Any help is appreciated Mory |

If you look up Jan Spoczynski on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0819282/#artX20director# you'll find he was the art director on "Match Point." Clearly the label is an in-joke; presumably the painting a is a prop created for the film and not part of the Tate collection.....

I can confirm that the scene set in the Tate Modern was in fact a 'set made to look like the Tate Modern' and the artwork was created for the film. Steve Mitchell created the artwork. Have only just seen this site.
