I inherited a painting called "Autumn" from my mother. It is an oil painting of a pond surrounded by trees with the leaves about to fall. There is a short synopsis describing the artist on the back of the painting. He was born in Florence and studied in Rome and Naples. I would like to find some more information on him, but all of my internet searches are finding Ferdinando Silvani. Ferdinando is an artist from the 1800's and not the correct one.
Could anybody help point me in a direction to get more info on this artist? Thanks, Glenn |

Does anyone have any ideas of where/how to search for additional information?
Thanks, Glenn |

I have a painting that seems like it might be by the same "Silvani" you speak of. Did you ever find anymore out about the artist?

I also have inherited a Silvani Coastal Landscape brought back from Italy in the 1980's I think. Does anyone know this 20th Century Silvani?
