Looks like Slimer JK but not known. Is it oil and where did you obtain them?

My dad passed them down to me. They're dated 1980, and I'm not sure where he got the paintings from. I wish I could find more of his/her work & possibly find out the value.

How about "Shi?????i K."?
I suggest this because the signature reminds me of another artist who signs his name in vertical strokes, so that the name comes out looking like bird scratches. For example, the lowercase "h" would consist of two vertical strokes with no little arc connecting them. Just a thought. |

They are very similar style and theme to Giovanni Barbaro but he was early 20th century. I particularly like the second one with the contrast between traditional Arabic and the modern petrochemical construction which was typical of the 70/80s "Arabia". Interestingly, the shape of the painting is also typical of Barbaro. Take care of them.
