I've seen a poster of a painting I'd like to identify. The description:
11 adults walking with umbrellas in the rain at night in a park illuminated with globe lighting in clusters of 4 globes each. thanks in advance for any help. |

The print is called "Walk in the Park." The artist is Russell Erickson. Not sure where you can find it. I have it and I love it!! The print is signed "Russ Erickson 1995".

If this is the print you are referring to I don't believe that this is the one that the OP is looking for as it is in the daylight and there are only seven people not eleven. ![]() |

These notes were very interesting to me. Mostly they are correct. I had to take apart the picture which was diligently stapled in, to see if there was a signature hidden by the mad. There was; and it was Russ Erickson copyright 1995. However the picture shown here was of seven walkers, in daylight. My print is of eleven bike riders and you can see water thrown up by the wheels of two bikes. I would say it should be titled "Bike riders in the rain".
But there is no possible way the bikers in the rain are positioned any different from walk in the park. The scheme is the same except Russ picked up more people and put them on bikes in the rain with lighted street lamps. It is very efffective. It is too good to not be found on internet, and lo, this site does have it and good discussion of it. I have not found his web site. But everyone liked the picture, thought it had no signature. It was hidden by the matt. |
